A while back, I mentioned a list of books to read during the chilly weather, which comprised mainly of thrillers. Here, I am listing romantic novels, as life does need a perfect dose of love and romance, right?
So, here it goes…
- 1. A Half-Baked Love Story by Anurag Garg & Gunjan Narang
Overview – This book narrates the story of two very different individuals as they come to terms with the pangs and pleasures of first love. The characters depicted will guide us through the beautiful tale of love and longing.
Review – Heart-warming and quite relatable. A story well-narrated with a tinge of generosity, humor, and an equal balance of varied emotions.- 2. The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang
Overview – A story of Stella, an autistic woman who hires an escort in order to explore intimacy with other people.
Review – The story is superbly narrated and captivating. This book has explicit sexual scenes and is extremely close to getting featured in the erotic category.- 3. Only Love Can Hurt Like This by Paige Toon
Overview – An unforgettable and heart-breaking love story with an earth-shattering secret at its core that asks, is love worth risking everything for?
Review – I have yet to read this book, but the readers say that the book has relatable characters, and it is filled with emotions that will break your heart and mend it again.- 4. Love a Little Stronger by Preeti Shenoy
- Overview – Life is a collection of moments, some memorable and some mundane. Often it is the tiniest things that bring the greatest joy, even though at that time we have no idea that what we are witnessing may be magical, something that we will talk about and laugh over after many years.
- Review – A heart-warming, hilarious, and inspiring collection of true anecdotes from the author’s life, asking us to Love a Little Stronger. This book tells us to spread love as much as we can.
Readers who read romantic novels are sometimes made to feel guilty for reading these books. The overall consensus is that such novels are poorly written, cliché, and have no substance. Whereas, well-written novels not only explore healthy relationships but also emphasize mutual pleasure when it comes to sexuality.
So, go ahead and indulge in some wild and romantic escapades between the sheets… oops, I meant the pages.
