1. The Housemaid by Frieda McFadden


Overview: This domestic thriller centers around Millie, the main character, who secures a job as a maid for the affluent Winchester family.


My Review: This book is a modern-day mystery with twists and turns, keeping you engrossed until the very last page. The storyline is brilliant, and the writer’s skill flows extremely well. This book is definitely worth your time.

2. It’s My Life by Vinita Dawra Nangia


Overview: This book is a collection of write-ups on relationships and contemporary living. At the core of the writings is the belief that, though deeply connected, we are all self-sufficient beings responsible for our own life and happiness.

My Review: ‘It’s My Life’ is non-fiction and falls into the self-help category. The author offers practical ways of dealing with the complex nature of human relationships and life. This is one of my ‘go-to’ books, especially when I need a fresh perspective on the different phases of life.

3. The Reappearance of Rachel Price by Holly Jackson

Overview: 18-year-old Bel has lived her whole life in the shadows of her mom’s mysterious disappearance. 16 years ago, Rachel Price vanished, and young Bel was the only witness. Rachel is presumed dead. The case comes to the fore when the Price family agrees to a true crime documentary.

My Review: This book is inspired by a real true crime case. It is a fast-paced mystery. Holly Jackson’s style of writing and her clever, immersive way with words make this book a thrilling read.

4. Myriad Whispers by Swati Mohandas

Overview: This is a poetry book of collected poems based on hope, love, and the very essence of life, devoid of inhibitions.

My Review: This is definitely a cozy read for all seasons. Here, I am sure you will find poems that resonate with you. And yes, I have written ‘Myriad Whispers’ and am happily promoting it.
